On a conventional mini excavator, when you swing the machine left or right, the counterweight at the back sticks out past the tracks. If you're close to a fence, wall or parked car, it clouts them. The E20z is built so the counterweight stays inside the track width at full rotation — so you can dig right up against a boundary fence, a house slab, or a retaining wall without having to stop, shuffle the machine, and start again. That's the ‘z’ in E20z.
